Academie voor Theater en Dans (formerly: DE THEATERSCHOOL)

The Amsterdam Academie voor Theater en Dans (formerly: Theatre School) is a collection of independant schools, each specialising in one of the disciplines like acting, stage-directing, contemporary dance, mime etc.

Until his retirement in 2016, Javier López Piñón has been teaching music-drama at the stage-directors (Regie-afdeling) department. Also, he has been the official mentor of a number of individual students.

At the actor’s department (Toneelschool) he has been teaching regularly the basic principles of the acting techniques of the 17th and 18th century.

He has also taught the basics of a musical treatment of dramatic texts at the drama teachers department (Theaterdocent).
