Fourstelling

Deze combinatie van vier verschillende werken uit de 20e en 21e eeuw werden vormgegeven in het auditorium van het lijsttoneel van de Kees van Baarenzaal: het publiek zat op het toneel, de zaal en het diepe voortoneel dienden als de plek waar de opera’s en het ballet zich afspeelden. Op de achterwand van de zaal werd video geprojecteerd en elk werk had zijn eigen ontwerper. Het geheel wilde met opzet refereren aan de avant-garde avonden uit de jaren ’20 van de vorige eeuw vandaar ook dat de aanpak door alle disciplines heen vormgegeven werd.

Two new pieces commissioned by Dutch National Opera Academy; Stojanov and Tidrow have graduated as MA students at the Amsterdam (Tidrow) and The Royal (Stojanov) Conservatoires. Two works by Strawinksy completed the evening.

(All of them final exam students from the scenography dept. of the Amsterdam Theatre school. For the dances graduating students from the Moderne Theaterdans dept. of Amsterdam Theatre School were invited to participate together with the three singers.)
